BUSINESS ADVISORY COUNCIL

The Business Advisory Council of Evansville Goodwill Industries, Inc. is comprised of management, human resource, training, and supervisory personnel from local business and educational organizations. The members of the Business Advisory Council volunteer their time and expertise to help promote Goodwill's Placement Services to local employers, secure job leads for Goodwill program participants that result in long-term benefited employment, supply advice and support to Goodwill staff and participants relative to hiring practices and job search strategies, and make connections between employers and Goodwill clients.

Throughout each year, the Business Advisory Council members are encoouraged to volunteer their time for activities such as:
  • helping staff achieve placements for people enrolled in program services
  • helping staff network to develop work trial sites to benefit people enrolled in program services
  • networking industry-specific connections to support service outcomes
  • conducting mock or practice interviews for people enrolled in program services
  • supporting disability awareness outreach efforts through networking activities with and for staff
  • supporting the growth and development of the BAC by recruiting new members
Through the efforts of this dedicated and highly creative group, persons receiving services through Evansville Goodwill Industries, Inc. are better prepared to become contributing members of our community.
